Our Products

Are your pots frost proof?

The majority of our pots and planters are listed as frost proof by their makers when sufficient care is taken. Our Italian terracotta ranges are specified to be safe down to a rather chilly sounding -20 Celsius. These products have the symbol in the product description.

Any planters which we are advised as being ‘frost resistant’ or we feel have finishes that necessitate protection or being brought inside during cold weather all have the symbol in the product description.

All of our makers suggest their planters be slightly raised from the floor to better allow water to fully drain thus reducing the risk of damage. We recommend the use of pot feet with all our planters. Please click here to see our care and advice information.

Can I order plants online?

We plan to offer a selected range of plants via our on-line store. These will be listed in our ‘New In’ section here as the range develops. Smaller, ‘ready-planted ranges’ will be delivered whole. Larger pots and plants will be sent as separate packages even when ordered from the ‘ready-planted’ range due to their size – these will be clearly labelled in the product description.

Within London and Surrey, we also offer a full installation service where a team of Nurseries staff will deliver, position and plant your order.

Can I come and see the pots?

We’d love you to come and see our fantastic range of pots, we are open by appointment at the moment as we are out and about finding new pots and plants. If you’d like to pop in please call us to set up a time on 020 8432 2961.

The Nursery is less than 10 minutes drive from the world-famous RHS Garden Wisley.

Why aren’t some pots in the same model range not the same colour?

All of our planters are made by hand from natural products. Our makers aim for consistency in both form and colour, but by their very nature of manufacture and the materials used, there may be very slight variations between pots from the same range – each piece is therefore genuinely unique with its own character. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch and we will be happy to send you additional pictures of any product you are interested in. (Please note that this service is solely available via email, sadly we cannot send pictures by post etc).

What are they made of?

Quite simply – earth! Whether it be iron ore used to make our corten steel plants or the clays used in our stoneware and terracotta ranges, the raw materials across all our ranges are completely natural. We do not, and will not, stock any plastic planters.
